Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 officially gets underway

On the morning of December 7th, 2023, two events were inaugurated simultaneously at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. These events are the Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo) and the International Elevator Exhibition – Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023.

Within the framework of the Vietnam Expo, Vietnam Elevator Expo is also the only International Elevator Exhibition in Vietnam organized under the cooperation between the Vietnam Elevator Association and VINEXAD Trade Fair and Advertising Joint Stock Company, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The President of the Vietnam Elevator Association, Nguyen Hai Duc, along with the delegation, performed the ceremony of pressing the button to open the Vietnam Expo.

The opening ceremony of Vietnam Expo 2023 was graced by the presence of notable figures such as Ms. Nguyen Van Nga – Chief of the Representative Office of Southern Affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dat – Chief of the Representative Office of Southern Affairs of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency; Mr. Vo Tan Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The 2023 edition of the Vietnam Expo also welcomed distinguished guests such as Mr. Yevgeny Shestakov – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and Mr. A.Saj U. Mendis – the Ambassador of Sri Lankan at Vietnam.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 was honored with the participation of Mr. To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Asia-Africa Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Khac Luan – President of VINEXAD; Mr. Nguyen Hai Duc – President of VNEA.

The ceremony also welcomed Mr. Graham Worthington – President of the Pacific-Asia Lift and Escalator Association; Mr. Massimo Bezzi – President of the European Federation for Elevator Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Mr. Lee Hyun Suk – President of the Korea Lift College, to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023.

Delegation of Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 visits the booths

After the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 delegation visited the display booths and evaluated and judged the impressive booth categories – Exhibition Awards and impressive technology product awards – Innotech Awards.

Representatives from Toshiba Elevator Vietnam have shared that they are looking forward to the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 as an opportunity to expand their reach by finding suitable partners in both Vietnamese and international markets. They plan to focus on promoting their high-speed elevator lines as well as family elevator lines.

Toshiba Elevator Vietnam also aims to showcase its advanced technology, diverse segments, and environmentally friendly, and high-operating performance elevator product lines to consumers, such as the ELCOSMO-II.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan – Director of Sang Nghiep Elevator Company, said that Sang Nghiep is currently focusing on developing a circular elevator product line for the high-end segment at a much cheaper cost than foreign elevators.

By participating in the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023, we hope to bring Vietnamese elevators to foreign customers and participate more deeply in the export market, especially in the European region.

In 2023, the Vietnam Elevator Expo as well as the Vietnam Expo gather more than 1.200 enterprises from 20 countries and territories, exhibiting at 1.600 booths, expect to connect with about 25,000 visitors during three days of the event.

Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 exhibits thousands of product categories focused on 4 main groups including: Elevator systems; Elevator accessories and parts (tractors, control panels, etc.); Systems related to the elevator (inspection system, security system, control system, etc.); Equipment for the installation and maintenance of elevators (safety equipment, noise measuring equipment, etc.).

Besides the exhibition booths, Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 also organized many programs and activities such as the International Seminar: “Sustainable Development Trend of Future Elevator Industry”, the International Cooperation Signing Ceremony between VNEA and the Korean Lifts College; the Honors and Awards Ceremony, etc.

This afternoon (December 7, 2023), the International Seminar with the theme “Sustainable Development Trend of Future Elevator Industry”, which is organized by the Vietnam Elevator Association (VNEA), will coming soon.

In addition, within the framework of the seminar, a signing ceremony will be held between the Vietnam Elevator Association and Korea Lift College (KLC); the Vietnam Institute of Lift Applied Engineering and the Korea Elevator Safety Foundation, in cooperation to train and improve the quality of human resources in the Vietnamese elevator industry.

The Vietnam Elevator Expo 2023 will be open from 9 am – 5 pm on 7 December to 9 December 2023 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) – No. 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City
