Lacquer art is not only present in exhibition spaces but is also gradually stepping out of the picture frame to enter everyday life. For the first time in Vietnam, an elevator design applying lacquer art has been introduced to the public, opening a new direction where technology and art go hand in hand to create sustainable values for living spaces.

On the afternoon of April 08, 2026, at the seminar on Elevator Technology Application held within the framework of the Vietnam Elevator Expo 2026 Hanoi, the Vietnam Institute of Lift Engineering Application (VILEA) and INTEC GmbH (Germany) officially announced their cooperation in transferring elevator control technology according to European standards.

Recently, the Government issued Decree No. 22/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations. Notably, it includes regulations on the issues of mutual recognition and unilateral recognition of foreign conformity assessment results.

EM – The new regulation abolishing the recognition of elevator test results from abroad, which takes effect from 1st February, 2025, is putting businesses in a difficult position, as each elevator unit is expected to bear an additional testing cost of at least 63 million VND. Furthermore, the test results are only valid for each shipment and cannot be applied on a mass scale or for a set duration.
